The summer in Phoenix, Arizona, is admittedly a hot one. It’s often safest and most comfortable to stay indoors, but that doesn’t limit the amount of educational and exciting activities that readers and writers can partake in during the triple-digit months. As writers, it’s always important to continue stimulating creativity, learning about the craft, and meeting others in the field with a similar mindset. This all can be done by attending Midnight Publishing’s list of upcoming Phoenix events geared toward writers and readers!

Lauren has been a professional writer and editor for more than 10 years. After graduating from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism, she focused on magazine and book editing, and continues to write for publications on a range of topics, including travel, music, food and wind. Her obsessions include vinyl records, the ocean, scotch-tastings, a mean guitar solo, and the feeling of a physical book in her hands – ironic, since she has 400 on her bookshelves and is allergic to paper.
